Login Method Settings

Learn how to configure authentication options for users.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

As a SKAND admin, you can control how users in your organization sign in to the platform. You have three login method options to choose from, depending on users security requirements and how users team is set up.

To access this setting, go to Manage > Subscriptions > Login method.

Available login methods

Email & password

Users sign in with the email address and password they created during registration. This is the standard login method and requires no additional configuration.

Single sign-on (SSO)

Users authenticate through their organization's identity provider (e.g. Microsoft, Okta, Google Workspace). This enforces centralized access control and is recommended for larger teams with existing identity management.

Email & password + SSO

Users can choose to log in with either their email and password or through SSO. This gives flexibility during migration periods or for teams with mixed authentication needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can admins require SSO for all users?

Yes. Selecting the SSO-only option will enforce SSO for all users. Email and password login will be disabled.

Which identity providers are supported?

SKAND currently supports Microsoft Azure and will add more providers in the future.

Who can change the login method?

Only organization admins have access to the Login method setting in Account Settings.

Note: Switching to SSO-only will prevent users without a linked identity provider account from logging in. Make sure all users have been provisioned in your identity provider before switching.
