Summary

This section describes the graphics tab in Skema and how to change your graphics settings.

This KB Article includes the following:

Light & Shadow

The Graphics setting can be modified by selecting the settings wheel in the top right and choosing the graphics tab.

The primary graphic elements that can be customized are the background and the directional light color.

The enable sky button changes the project's background to have a sky fill instead of a white or custom color background.

A custom background color can be changed by selecting the white box next to the word 'background' and choosing a new color. For a background fill to be applied, enable sky must not be checked.

Directional light changes the color cast on massing within the project, directional light color is changed in the exact same way the background color is. Select the white box next to the title and choose a new color. Change the intensity to increase or decrease the brightness of the directional light using the value box to the right.

The hemi light is the color of the shadows applied to the massings, this feature is controlled the same as the directional light.

There are options to toggle shadows and change the blur of the shadow effects. Changing the blur affects the size of the cast shadow.

Fog

The fog tab allows you to add fog to the site, reducing the visibility of the project but allowing for graphic representation.

The fog near setting increases the amount of fog within the project terrain box.

The fog far setting increases fog surrounding the terrain box.

For each fog setting, the intensity ranges from strong to weak, strong being a lower number and weak being a higher number.

To change the fog color, select the white box and choose a color from the color mixer.

Object Graphics.

To alter the color of modeled buildings in Skema, please consult the Editing and Creating Space Use Categorization article.

Within the "Global Objects" section, you'll find the option to adjust both the site color and the surrounding building color. There is also an option to modify the site color in street view. To modify these, click on the white circle next to the title and select a new color.

To keep your graphic changes, hit save at the bottom of the function tab.
