Applicants who apply for the Refugee Student Settlement Pathway (RSSP) are responsible for ensuring that all information and documentation they provide during the selection and application process are authentic, accurate, and truthful.
Skill Path may conduct spot checks on information provided in applications to the RSSP, including:
Independent verification of education documents
Checking with UNHCR registration status using Verify+ system
Confirming scholarships, internships, employment or volunteer roles with institutions
Verifying references
If information comes to light indicating that Skill Path may have been provided with false, misleading, or fraudulent information or documents during this process, Skill Path will investigate the matter with local partners and organisations involved.
Skill Path will give appropriate weight to the evidence available, and provide the applicant with an opportunity to respond before reaching a decision. Where Skill Path determines that a breach of integrity has occurred, the applicant will not be selected and/or will not proceed further in the selection or program.
This policy applies to the application, selection and engagement with Skill Path. For successful students, separately, upon signing the Participant Agreement, students agree to enter into a further binding commitment to honesty and accuracy, as it relates to the educational experience and details required for their visa application. The terms of the participant agreement enhance and may supersede this policy as it applies to their ongoing participation in the program.
