Invite employee to Workforce

Send an invitation to an employee to activate their Workforce account

Introduction

Employees must be invited to join Workforce by their manager. Once the employee has accepted the invitation, they can log in to the app and view their shifts, apply for time off, and set their availability.

Navigation

Log-in to Lighthouse Business Manager, then click Workforce -> Employees.

Note: Users must have the Administrator permission or Manager permission with the ‘Manage employees and employee profiles’ sub-permission.

Invite Employee

Scroll down the employee list and click on an employee with a status of ‘Not Invited.’

Click on Send Invite at the top of the Personal Details screen.

Click Send Invite to issue the invitation.

This automatically sends a text message to the employee's mobile phone with instructions on how to activate their Workforce account and connect to the company.

Alternatively, you can also right-click on the ellipsis (3 dots) beside the employee’s name and click Send invite.

This will instantly send an invite to the employee.

Resend Invite

If an employee has a status of ‘Invited,’ this means they have previously been sent an invitation but have not yet accepted it.

You can resend the invite by right-clicking on the ellipsis (3 dots) beside the employee’s name and clicking Send invite.

Bulk Invite

To invite more than one employee at a time, you can use the bulk invite option.

On the Employees page, click the employees you wish to invite.

This will bring up the Bulk Actions option in the top right corner.

Click Send invites.

You will be asked to confirm you would like to invite the selected employees.

Recently invited employees and employees without a phone number will not be sent invites.
