Introduction
To login to the Workforce mobile app, employees must use the phone number associated to their account.
An employee's phone number should be entered against their profile within Lighthouse Business Manager upon employee creation. This will then be synced to Workforce.
Employees must receive an invitation to gain access to the Workforce mobile app. To invite employees, navigate to their employee profile under Employees
and then click Send invite. This will trigger a text message to the phone number stored against their profile, inviting them to download the app and activate the account.
Employees cannot be invited to Workforce if they do not have a valid number stored against their Workforce profile
Once their account is activated they will have full access to the Workforce mobile app features, such as viewing schedules and applying for shift opportunities.
Changing an employee's phone number
If an employee's phone number is updated against their LBM employee profile after the account has been created in Workforce, the new phone number is not synced to Workforce.
The change must instead be made in Workforce.
Non activated employees
Managers and administrators can update an employee's phone number directly within Workforce, provided the employee has not yet activated their Workforce account via the mobile app.
Simply navigate to the employee's profile under Employees. Enter the correct phone number and click SAVE. Remember to then send the invite to the employee, so they can download the app and activate their account.
Activated employees
For privacy reasons, once the employee has connected to the company and activated their Workforce account, the Employer will no longer be able to update these contact details. They will only be able to view the employee's contact details.
Instead, the employee will need to update their phone number in the Workforce mobile app.
After logging into the app, tap on More>Account Settings, and then tap the phone number. This will bring up the Edit Phone Number screen. Once the new phone number has been entered, a code will be sent to it via SMS. Enter the code to finalize the phone number update.
