Custom Tasking

This support article explains how HUB users can submit custom tasking orders.

Updated this week

A new release now allows HUB users to customize tasking orders by selecting project-specific parameters. These additional tasking options (“Alternate Configurations”) are available for Pleiades-Neo 30cm, Pleiades 50cm, and SkySat 50cm. Airbus Elevation 50cm and 1m products are now also available for tasking with custom parameters.

Custom tasking gives users the option to request the data to be delivered in different formats, processing levels, band combinations, projections, and pixel coding. When choosing an alternate configuration, the data will be delivered in the original format provided by our suppliers (zip folder). The data will not be processed by SkyWatch as a SkyWatch Standard Product but will be downloadable through Data Management once delivered. However, it must be noted that these alternate tasking orders will not be compatible with DirectView, WMTS and Previews in Map features. If you require the data to be compatible with these HUB features, you must select SkyWatch Standard as your ordering option.

Example of the "Alternate Configurations" for Pleiades-Neo 30 cm tasking

When an alternate configuration is selected in the "Order New" workflow, HUB users can now choose ordering parameters such as:

  • Max cloud cover

  • Geometric Processing

  • Spectral Band Combination (Provides options to select band combinations and specify whether to apply pansharpening.)

  • Product Format (Choose if output is provided as GeoTIFF or other format))

  • Pixel Coding (Defines the available range of pixel values)

  • Radiometric Processing
