Organization Settings on HUB
Updated over 5 months ago

The content in this article is only applicable to HUB users. If you are interested in learning more about HUB or wish to upgrade your account, please reach out to support@skywatch.com.

This article will summarize the "Organization" feature of HUB accounts. HUB allows organizations to connect multiple users a single account, eliminating the need for users to own an individual account, and store all acquired data products in a single location (preventing duplicate ordering and accidental spending of organization funds).

HUB Organization

When a user (any role) logs onto their HUB account, they will see the Organization tab visible above the global map.

Inside the Organization section, users will see three tabs: Settings, User Management, and Payment Method.

Settings

The default page to open first is the Settings tab; Users will first see a summary of the HUB account profile and the configuration option to enable/disable the Order Approvals workflow.

The "Profile" contains the name of the HUB organization name, the name and email of the account SuperAdmin (if there is more than one SuperAdmin, it will be the user who requested the creation of the HUB account), the name and email for the Account Manager (SkyWatch Sales Representative handling the account), and the organizations address.

The Configuration section with the Order Approvals feature can only be changed by users with the SuperAdmin role. All other users will not be able to enable or disable this feature.

User Management

The User Management tab summarizes all of the HUB users linked to the organization account. The table includes the name, email, role, department (if assigned), and country. If you need to look for a particular user, you can type in their name or email into the search bar to find them.

Example of the User Management table in the Organization section.

The Actions option located on the far right column of the table can only be utilized by SuperAdmins. SuperAdmins can use the Actions to either change the role of a HUB user (a user will need to reach out to their SuperAdmin to request a role change) or remove a user from the HUB account.

SuperAdmins also have the option to add a new user to the HUB account by clicking on the "+ Add User" button. To change the role of an existing user, view the projects associated with the users, or to remove a user from the HUB account, select the icons annotated below.

Note: Only SuperAdmin users can add and change the role of other users and remove users from the HUB account.

Payment Method

The Payment Method page shows all of the budgets the SuperAdmin(s) set onto the HUB account. This page allows users to track the spending of budgets in the account, allowing SuperAdmins to know ahead of time if budgets need to be increased, or they can inform teams that they only have a limited amount of budget left to use on satellite imagery.

The Payment Methods are organized into separate sections, and users can view the following information:

  • Total funds (original max funds)

  • Available funds

  • The amount of funds spent

  • Funds currently in progress (pending orders such as active tasking orders)

  • Available funds left

Projects

Projects is a feature that changes the way organizations can manage their budgets and ordering across the board. Projects are assigned a payment method that is set up through the support of the SkyWatch Account Manager and Customer Support Team (How Do I Set Up Payment Methods on HUB?).

Users can view the names of all option and closed HUB projects, see the payment method linked to it, and the status of the project. A spending chart of each project can be viewed by clicking on the enlarge icon, giving users a view of how active a project is and whether the budget is close to empty.

All users can see details of the project, but only a SuperAdmin user also has permission to add/remove users from projects, change the payment method of a project, and close a project.

For more information on how to set up a Project and how it can improve your invoicing and budget tracking, please refer to the support document How Can I Use Projects in HUB?
