⏱️ Spending Too Much Time Writing Reports and Summaries?

Writing evaluation summaries, progress reports, and parent-friendly updates can take hours — especially when you’re juggling large caseloads, documentation requirements, and limited time.

Translating clinical information into clear, meaningful language for IEPs, reports, and families can also be challenging and mentally draining after a full day of sessions.

✅ Save Time on Documentation With AI Support

The SLP Toolkit AI Assistant helps you quickly summarize evaluations and reports, draft progress updates, and create parent-friendly therapy summaries in less time.

Simply provide your redacted information, answer a few follow-up questions if needed, and generate organized, easy-to-edit drafts you can customize to fit your clinical voice and documentation needs.

Spend less time staring at a blank screen and more time focusing on your students.

⚠️ Reminder: Be sure to use redacted or de-identified information to protect student privacy with a free online tool such (see example here) to comply with FERPA guidelines.

Follow these steps to ensure compliance and maintain confidentiality:

1. Check Your Organization’s AI Policy
- Some organizations have purchased specific AI tools with privacy agreements in place, allowing for the inclusion of student information.

- Confirm whether your organization has approved AI tools for use with redacted data.

2. Automated Redaction Tools (Check Organization Approval First!)
- Some online vendors offer automatic redaction services to remove private student information from documents (see example here).

- If considering this option, ensure that your organization permits its use and that the vendor complies with privacy standards.

3. Manual Redaction Option (Best for Full Control Over Privacy)
- If automated tools are not an option, you can manually redact student data before using AI.

- Steps for manual redaction:

  • Copy and paste the SLP Toolkit report into a Word document.

  • Use the Find and Replace function to locate and replace identifiable student details (e.g., name, DOB).

  • Replace student names with placeholders, such as "REDACTEDSTUDENTNAME", so that only non-identifiable information remains.
