Troubleshooting Tips for Importing Your Caseload

Having trouble importing your caseload into your SLP Toolkit account? Here are a few things you can try:

1.) Double-check that all of the SLP Toolkit Data Field dropdowns match your column header names. If you accidentally label a column of text as Date of Birth / Eval Due Date/ or IEP Due Date, the system will give you an error message that your dates are in the incorrect format.

In this example, the 4th column is labeled as 'IEP Due Date' but it actually contains information about schools.

2.) Make sure that you are not using the same dropdown label for more than one column. If you see that a column is highlighted in red, that means the same dropdown label is being used for a different column as well.

You can see below that the ‘First Name’ and ‘Last Name’ columns are highlighted in red. This is because the ‘First & Last Name’ header is applied to a column on the right as well.

*Note: If you are unable to scroll to the right of your caseload file, try zooming out of your screen so that you can see all of your columns.

3.) Double-check that each row does not contain any additional header information.

In this example, the first four rows actually contain header information, rather than student information. Unchecking those rows will allow the file to import properly.
