How to Mark a Full Day Present

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Easily mark all students as present for a specific day in just a few clicks! This feature can be helpful if you marked a full day as absent by mistake, or if you need to quickly update the attendance for all session events simultaneously.

To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the Daily Data tab

  2. Click on the Actions button at the top of the agenda page

  3. Select Mark Full Day Present

  4. Choose your reason for marking all students present (e.g. ‘Open all scheduled events'). Then, click the Save button and you're all set!

Alternatively, clicking into the Group Notes section or opening any therapy session will convert it to a live session and mark students as present automatically. For quick updates, the bulk-attendance method can also be used to save time before entering individual sessions.

Additional Attendance Scenarios

Marking an Entire Group Absent

To record all students in a group as absent for a session:

  1. Open the session event.

  2. Locate the Actions menu on the right-hand side of the session event screen.

  3. Select the option Mark All Absent from the Actions menu. This will record the entire group as absent for that specific session.

Managing Absences for Partial-Day Sessions

If you miss half a day of therapy sessions due to unforeseen circumstances, follow these steps to mark absences for only the sessions you missed:

  1. Go to the Daily Data tab.

  2. Open each session event that was missed.

  3. Use the left panel to select each student in that session.

  4. Click the Actions menu and choose Mark Absent for the selected students.

    Additional Tip:

  • In the agenda view, gray sessions are scheduled but not opened. Opening a session (by typing in Group Notes or similar actions) will turn it blue and automatically record students as present. If a session did not occur, do not open it to ensure it remains unrecorded.

Tips for Best Practices

  • Always verify the attendance records at the end of the day to catch discrepancies early.

  • Use the Daily Data tab for quick, bulk attendance management to save time.

  • Avoid opening sessions you do not intend to hold, as this will auto-mark attendance.
