What does the SecureSession App do?
The SecureSession App is an application that can be used during some SmarterProctoring exams to:
Restrict applications
Blocks apps that allow remote access, screen sharing, screen recording, or applications known for the purposes of cheating.Prevent virtual machine use
Detects and blocks exams from being taken inside a virtual machine (VM).Disable system-level features used for screen recording or screen sharing
Temporarily disables operating system features that could be used to share or capture content.Automatically manage restricted apps
If a restricted app is opened while testing, it will automatically close and create a flag for review.Secure but private
Does not read, access, or store any personal files on your computer.

Not supported on Chromebooks
Installation of SecureSession App
If this tool is required for an exam, students will be prompted to install it during the onboarding process, there is no need to install anything in advance.
Once the student follows the prompts to download and install the app, their computer will be scanned for any blocked applications before being directed back to their exam.
The SecureSession App can be uninstalled after the exam. It will not leave any files on the computer. Yes!
