A practice exam helps students:

  • Familiarize with the proctoring process

  • Avoid technical issues during the real exam

  • Boost confidence and reduce anxiety

  • Best of all: It’s free and easy to set up!

How to Set Up a Practice Exam

  • Name Your Exam: Add [Practice] to the title
    Example: [Practice] Proctored Quiz

  • Set It Up Like the Real Exam:
Use the same tools (e.g., LMS, McGraw-Hill, etc.)

Quick Tips for Success

  • Make It Mandatory: Require all students to complete it

  • Timing Matters: Schedule 1–2 weeks before the real exam

  • Keep It Short: One simple question is enough

  • Avoid Confusion: Close the practice window before the real exam opens

Remind Students Where to Get Help

  • Before onboarding: Click the Help button (bottom-left of the screen)

  • During the practice session: Use the Support Chat icon (top toolbar)

By setting up a practice exam, you ensure a smooth, stress-free testing experience for everyone!
