Here is the Supademo link for easier configuration and navigation on your end!

Step 1: Log into TaxWise

  1. Open TaxWise Online and log in using your credentials.

  2. Ensure you have administrator access to configure ERO settings.

Step 2: Access ERO Setup

  1. Navigate to Settings under your profile.

  2. Select Electronic Filing Setup or ERO Setup from the menu.

Step 3: Enter ERO Information

  1. ERO Name – Enter the name of your Electronic Return Originator (ERO).

  2. EFIN (Electronic Filing Identification Number) – Input the IRS-assigned 6-digit EFIN.

  3. Firm Name & Address – Provide the business name, address, and contact details.

  4. PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) – Enter your registered PTIN.

Step 4: Verify & Save Settings

  1. Double-check all entries for accuracy.

  2. Click Save or Apply Changes to store your settings.

NOTE: If you're done completing the template with your ERO information, be sure to ASSIGN it to your preparer profile by choosing "Assign" in the Return Templates screen.

At that point, all future returns will for sure have it. For your existing returns without ERO information yet, you have to manually enter on the bottom part of Form 8879.

Now your ERO is successfully set up in TaxWise, and you're ready to file tax returns! 🚀
