Reject Code: IND-202
'VendorControlNum' in 'FilingSecurityInformation' in the Return Header must have a value.
What This Means
This reject code occurs when a vendor control number is missing from a return when it is e-filed. The vendor control number is assigned to an Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) when an order is placed with TaxSlayer Pro and added to the account. Any returns that are e-filed before the order line is added to the office's account will be rejected.
How to Fix Reject Code IND-202
Retransmit the return from the E-File section in the return.
If the return rejects again, contact TaxSlayer Pro Support.
TaxSlayer Pro Support will verify if the correct order line has been added to the account.
If the order line was missing, any returns that were e-filed before it was added will need to be retransmitted.
Ensuring that the vendor control number is correctly assigned before e-filing will prevent this rejection. If you continue experiencing issues, reach out to TaxSlayer Pro Support for further assistance.
