Updated over 9 months ago

From the “Home” Tab, click the “Customize Your Website” button on the checklist. You can also access this later by clicking on the “Website” Tab on the sidebar. Then click “Page” from the right side panel of the screen.

Here you can see a list of all pages of the website.

By default, Sociavore will load the Theme you selected when you first signed up; you can always change the theme (look & feel of the site) whenever you want.

Re-Arrange the Order of the Pages on the Navigation Menu

Drag the page and drop it between the pages where you want it to appear on the navigation menu.

Hide / Unhide a Page from the Navigation Menu

Click the dropdown to choose Public if you want to display the page on your website or hide it by selecting either Private or Draft.

Delete, Rename, Edit URL path, and Set the SEO page description from the Navigation Menu

Click the 3 dot menu on the right side to see the options to delete the page from the navigation menu, rename it, edit the URL path or set the SEO page description.

Access and Make Adjustments on the Page's Settings

Click the [edit icon] to lead the setting of the page.

Add a New Page, a Dropdown, a Call to Action button, or a Link on the Navigation Menu

At the top of the list of pages, you can add an external link, a dropdown, a call to action button, and a new page as part of the website's navigation menu.

Edit and Customize the Page Content

Click the [customize page icon] to load the page editor.

Parts of the Page Editor:

1 - Desktop and Mobile Viewport - this is where you can view how the page would look on a desktop browser and mobile screen.

2 - Content Tab - this is where you can edit and customize the page's content, such as images, videos, texts, etc.

3 - Design Tab - this is where you can customize the design elements of the page, such as typography (text size, style, and colors) and color themes (for the navigation menu, background, footer, page sections, form fields, etc.).

4 - Page Navigation - to edit the other pages on the website, click the dropdown and choose a page you want to edit.

5 - Fixed Page Sections - these are sections that are available and fixed on all pages of the website. When you change any of these sections, the changes apply across all website pages.

  • Header - this is the navigation menu displayed at the top of the website. It contains the logo and links to pages on the website.

  • Footer - this section is displayed at the bottom of the website and usually contains the restaurant's contact information, operating hours, social media links, and a newsletter subscription form. Click the "Add Block" button to add other footer elements. You can also rearrange the order of the footer elements by drag and drop.

  • Desktop Action Bar -  desktop or laptop users can see this action bar at the bottom of the screen. It's always visible and sticks to the bottom of the screen while scrolling. They can click these links to view the restaurant's google map, call the restaurant, and view the operating hours in a pop-up window. You can rearrange the order of the action bar elements by dragging and dropping and add social media icons by clicking the "Add Block" button.  You can also show / hide the built-in chat application or the entire action bar section.

  • Mobile Action Bar - mobile users can see this action bar at the bottom of their mobile screen and can click the icons to perform tasks such as viewing the menu, reserving a table, calling the restaurant, view the map, or making an order.

6 - Dynamic Page Sections - these are sections on the page between the header and the footer. These sections can include a paragraph, a slideshow, an image or video, recent blog articles, social media posts, testimonials, a form, etc. Click here to learn more about Dynamic Page Sections.

You can add or remove sections and rearrange the order of the sections as displayed on the page by drag and drop.

7 - Add New Section Button - A Sociavore Theme Template contains pre-selected sections on each page. Click the "Add Section" button to add additional sections to the page.

8 - Editor Scroll Bar - use the scroll bar to view the entire page as you make your changes
