Hiring guide for location managers

Step by step guide on managing & hiring candidates

Updated over 5 months ago

Congratulations! You are live with Soigné 🎉

In this guide we'll take you through managing & hiring candidates. But first, let's take a look at the application process.

Soigné uses role-based hiring rather than traditional job posts. Through a conversational approach, candidates share their experience naturally. A resume or cover letter in not required.

💡Tip: make a test application at your restaurant to get a good feel of the candidate experience.

Step 1: Candidates

See all candidates for your location. Easily filter by role and experience level. Look for the ⚡️ indicator showing candidates available to start immediately!

Step 2: Candidate profile

Click to view the full candidate profile. All application details can be found at the bottom.

Step 3: Messages

The top of the candidate profile shows all previous application communications. You can:

  • Add a private note for yourself

  • Send an email to the candidate. Simply use the toggle to switch between Private note and Message.

Step 4: Schedule an interview or trial shift

Excited about a candidate? Here's how to schedule an interview or trial shift:

  1. Set your availability

  2. Send an invitation (via WhatsApp and/or email)

  3. Let candidates book their preferred time or suggest alternatives.

Once scheduled, the candidate automatically moves to 'Interview Scheduled' or 'Trial Shift Scheduled' in your overview, showing the confirmed date and time.

Step 5: Reject candidate

No current fit for your team? You have two options:

Talent pool

Talent pool is for good matches, but you don't have any open spots at the moment.

  • Data is stored for 12 months

  • It's mandatory to send an email

  • This ensures candidates can opt out if they wish

Disqualify

Disqualify candidates if you don't see a match now nor in the future.

  • Data is stored for 4 weeks

  • It's recommended but not mandatory to send an email

Step 6: Create contract

Create contracts in multiple languages, get salary recommendations and add extra perks & benefits.

Step 7: Send contract (optional)*

Contract ready and checked? Send the offer via Email and/or Whatsapp and let new joiners onboard themselves in one smooth flow.

* The Send contract feature is available depending on the setup of roles within your restaurant group.
