The following guide will walk you through re-importing your seed and restoring full functionality if you are experiencing an issue where seeds in the Seed Vault have been renamed (for example, from “Seeker Seed 1” to “Seeker Seed 2") and subsequently stop functioning correctly with the Seed Vault Wallet.
Step 1: Backup Your Seed Phrase
First, and most importantly, ensure you have your seed phrase backed up. Even though the seed is renamed, the wallets associated with it have not changed.
If you did not back up your seed when you initially created it, do so now via Seed Vault settings. Please see this guide for instructions on backing up your seeds: How to Back Up Your Seeker Seed Vault Wallet Seed Phrase
Step 2: Re-import Your Seed Phrase
Once you’ve backed up your seed, please proceed to re-import it into the Seed Vault:
Open Seed Vault Settings
Tap “Add a seed.”
Select “Import a seed phrase” and follow the on screen instructions to enter the seed phrase you backed up.
This will create a new, functioning seed entry in Seed Vault (for example, it might be named “Seeker Seed 3”)
Step 3: Connect and Verify Functionality
Launch the Seed Vault Wallet application.
Connect the wallet to the newly imported seed entry.
Verify that the Seed Vault Wallet is now functioning correctly. You should be able to see your assets and perform transactions.
Step 4: Remove the Non-Functional Seed Entry
Once you have verified that the newly imported seed is working, you can safely remove the old, non-functional entry from Seed Vault to avoid confusion.
