What Is DRT Mode?
Updated over 2 weeks ago

DRT Mode (Detection-Response Task) measures the cognitive load and attentional demands of a task by comparing an athlete’s reaction time on a primary task to their response time to a secondary task (a red dot that randomly appears on the screen). A slower response to the secondary task suggests that the athlete is using more cognitive resources for the primary task, indicating that it is more mentally demanding. By analyzing the difference between these reaction times, DRT Mode provides insights into how much mental effort and focus the task requires.
