When we add a new Soma Intelligence tool or improve an existing one, Claude doesn't pick up the change on its own. You need to refresh the Soma connector once. It takes about ten seconds and you don't lose anything.
When to refresh
Refresh the connector when:
we announce a new or updated Soma Intelligence feature
a prompt from the Prompts Library doesn't give you the result shown in the post
Claude says it can't find a Soma tool, or gives you a different kind of answer than you expected
If in doubt, refresh. It does no harm.
How to refresh
Do this in Claude on the web or in the desktop app.
Click your profile, then Settings.
In the menu on the left, click Connectors.
Click Soma to open it.
Click the ⋮ (three dots) next to Disconnect.
Click Refresh tools list.
That's it. You'll see Soma's tools listed under Tool permissions.
Start a new chat
Once you've refreshed, start a new chat before you run your prompt. A chat that was already open keeps the tools it started with.
Things to avoid
The same menu also has Remove. Don't click it. Remove takes the Soma connector off your account completely, and you'd need to connect it again from scratch.
Disconnect also logs Claude out of your Soma account. You only need Refresh tools list.
