Adding/removing decimal prices

If you've noticed that your prices are not displaying decimals on your Shopify store, there's a good chance that it's due to your "money formatting" settings. To fix this issue, you need to make a few adjustments to your Shopify admin.

Here are the steps you can follow to customize your money formatting settings and get your prices to display decimals correctly:

  • First, log in to your Shopify admin and go to the "Settings" section.

  • From there, scroll down to the "Store currency" option and click on "Change formatting".

  • Once you're on the "Change formatting" page, you'll see a section labeled "Email with currency" and "Email without currency". These are the fields that determine how your prices will be displayed.

  • Check to see if these fields are set up to display prices without decimals. You can tell by looking for the "{{amount_no_decimals}}" placeholder. If this placeholder is present, it means that decimals are not being displayed.

  • To fix this, simply change "{{amount_no_decimals}}" to "{{amount}}" in both the "Email with currency" and "Email without currency" fields.

  • Once you've made this change, click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to update your settings.

It's important to note that it can take up to 15 minutes for your changes to take effect. After this time, your prices should display decimals correctly.

If you want to remove decimals altogether, follow the same steps above but change "{{amount}}" to "{{amount_no_decimals}}" in the formatting fields.

By customizing your money formatting settings in Shopify, you can ensure that your prices are displayed exactly as you want them to be.
