Review, edit & confirm your lyrics

The complete guide to reviewing, editing and confirming your lyrics.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Introduction

Once you've placed your order, the first thing you need to do is to review & confirm your lyrics. This is a really simple process, and we've created a step-by-step guide, along with some FAQs, to guide you through the process.

Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Access the lyrics confirmation area

You can access the lyrics confirmation area from your Order Status Page. You will see a button that says "Review & confirm your lyrics". If you don't see this on your Order Status Page, it means you have already confirmed your lyrics.

Step 2: Review your lyrics

When you visit the lyrics confirmation area, you'll be able to view the lyrics we've made for you. Read through these and make sure they are how you want them to be.

Step 3: Edit them to get them just right (optional)

If you want to edit your lyrics, you can easily do so. Just follow the lyrics editing instructions provided. You can find these instructions above your lyrics - just click the box that says "Read our lyrics editing instructions".

Step 4: Add pronunciation (optional)

Underneath your lyrics, you'll see a box that says "Let's get the Pronunciation right". By clicking the "Add" button, you can add specific pronunciation notes for any names/places you think might be mispronounced.

⚠️ Remember, our music producers may not be familiar with certain names or places that they haven't come across before, so we recommend adding pronunciation notes for any names and places that are not widely known.

Step 5: Add your song title

After you've added any pronunciation notes and have checked your lyrics, you can click the "Confirm my lyrics" button. We'll then ask you to provide a title for your song, and we will provide you with some suggestions to choose from.

Step 6: Final review and confirm

Now you just need to check a box saying that you understand you will be unable to edit your lyrics once confirmed, and then tell us how you heard about us. Once you've done this, just click the "Make my song" button and you're finished!

Lyrics confirmation FAQs

Can I edit my lyrics after confirming them?

Songs go into production straight after your lyrics are confirmed, so it is too late to request any changes or provide any additional information unfortunately. The best thing to do is to wait until your order arrives, and if there is anything you would like to change, we can remake your song for a small fee. We hope you understand this.

Can I view my lyrics after confirming them?

You’ll get to see your lyrics again as soon as your song is ready. The wait just adds to the anticipation!

I didn’t get the number of verses I paid for

The total verse count includes all the sections in the song (e.g. choruses, bridges, outros, numbered verses etc), so there's no need to worry, your song has the correct number of 4 line verses - either ten or six, depending on the option you selected when you placed your order.

Is there a time limit for lyrics confirmation?

We ask that you confirm your lyrics within one month of placing your order.

I don’t like the lyrics. What can I do?

We recommend reading our lyrics editing instructions, which you can find at the top of the lyrics confirmation page. These instructions explain how you can:

  • Regenerate your entire lyrics

  • Regenerate or manually edit a specific line of the lyrics

  • Edit the information you provided when filling out the order form (doing this will affect the lyrics that are generated by our website).

Can you edit the lyrics for me?

Unfortunately we can't make changes to your lyrics for you, as we will never know as much about who you're making the song for as you do. We suggest you follow the lyrics editing instructions in the lyrics confirmation area, as these explain how to get your lyrics just right.

Can I get back to a previous version of my lyrics?

Once you click the "Regenerate Lyrics" button, your previous lyrics are not saved. You can generate new lyrics and edit them until they are how you want them, though.

It won't let me complete the lyrics confirmation process

If you are unable to confirm your lyrics, it is most likely because you haven't completed all of the required fields. Make sure to review the step-by-step guide above, and ensure you have completed all the steps.
