Adding a status to a song can help you and your team stay on the same page about what your catalog is being pitched for and what parties may be interested in it. To learn more about statuses, click here.
If you have already created a tracked pitch link for the song and you're wanting to reflect a status on that tracked pitch, please see How to set a status on a pitched song.
If you're wanting to associate a status to a song that you didn't generate a tracked pitch link for, there are three different routes you can take to do so: via a song, Project Mgmt, or on an existing Project. A walkthrough of each route is provided below:
Adding a status directly to a song
1. From the edit view of a song, select the flag icon directly underneath the title of the song.
2. Add a project. If you haven't yet created a Project, you can create a new one by clicking NEW PROJECT. If the Project has already been created, you can search for an existing project in the provided field. (See Understanding Projects to learn more.)
3. Click the Select song status dropdown to view and select a status.
4. Click Save.
Adding a status to a song via Pitch & Project Mgmt
1. Go to Project MGMT.
2. Click the orange + button in the top-left corner.
3. Select New song status...
4. Add the song that you're wanting to add a status to. Use the provided field to search for existing songs within your account. Any matching results will appear in a dropdown, where you can select the song from directly.
5. Add a project. If you haven't yet created a Project, you can create a new one by clicking NEW PROJECT. If the Project has already been created, you can search for an existing project in the provided field.
6. Click the Select song status dropdown to view and select a status.
7. Click Save.
Adding a status to a song via a Project
1. From Project MGMT, locate the project you want to add a status to.
2. Double-click the project to open it or right-click it and select Go to project.
3. In the Song statuses section of the Project, click the + icon.
4. Add the song that you're wanting to add a status to. Use the provided field to search for existing songs within your account. Any matching results will appear in a dropdown, where you can select the song from directly.
5. Add a project. If you haven't yet created a Project, you can create a new one by clicking NEW PROJECT. If the Project has already been created, you can search for an existing project in the provided field.
6. Click the Select song status dropdown to view and select a status.
7. Click Save.
