If you want your searches to only return songs, recordings, files, or playlist folders, you can set that as a default search setting so that you don't have to worry about selecting the type manually anymore.

Here's how to set your default search:

1. Click the Search icon in the header.

2. Open the advanced search options by clicking the icon in the search bar or the More search options link at the bottom of the search modal.

3. From here, click the settings wheel located in the bottom left of the search modal.

4. Hover over the Default results type option and you will see the default options that you can select. Click the type and it will be set until you change it again.
