Note: you can only claim Master Rights on a recording that has been marked as a Master (Commercially Released).

If your company controls or represents the master recording for third-party licensing, you'll want to reflect that within your catalog in Songspace. Any recording that you've claimed Master Rights on will be reflected both on the recording and on the song that the recording is associated to.

Here's how to declare Master Rights on a recording:

1. Open the song project that the recording is associated to.

2. Click ... on the recording and then select "Edit recording...".

3. In the Type drop-down menu, select Master (Commercially Released).

4. Click the checkbox for Master Rights.

5. Click Save.

Once you've claimed Master Rights, the MSTR icon in the recording will turn green and the Master Rights info for that recording will appear in the Rights info tab of the associated song project.
