What Are Action Flows?

Learn the basics of Sonikit Action Flows and how to use them to automate fan engagement.

Overview

Action Flows are Sonikit’s automation system for turning a single fan action into a sequence of engagement actions across channels. Instead of treating each interaction separately (a pre-save here, a text opt-in there), Action Flows connect everything into one continuous system.

Example:

  • A fan texts a keyword
→ Sonikit automatically pre-saves the release
    → follows the artist
→ adds the fan to a segment
    → sends a confirmation text

All triggered instantly, no links, no extra steps.

How Action Flows Work

Every Action Flow has two parts:

1. Trigger (what starts the flow)

A fan action, like:

  • Texting a keyword

  • Pre-saving a release

  • Following an artist

  • Signing up via SMS or email

2. Steps (what happens next)

Automated actions like:

  • Pre-saving a release

  • Following an artist

  • Sending a message

  • Adding a fan to a segment

Event-Based (Always On)

Action Flows run in the background and respond to events across your entire project. This means:

  • A pre-save on your website = same trigger as a pre-save on your landing page

  • An SMS opt-in anywhere = triggers the same flow

There’s no need to “connect” individual pages or embeds.

What You Can Build

Action Flows unlock strategies like:

Text-to-Pre-Save

Fan texts a keyword → song is pre-saved automatically

Convert Followers Into Owned Audience

Fan opts in via SMS → automatically follows artist + gets segmented

Multi-Step Release Campaigns

Fan pre-saves → gets added to VIP segment → receives follow-up messages

Plan Availability

  • Basic: Single step automations, 1 active flow per project

  • Pro: Multi-step automations, 5 active flows per project, Instagram triggers and actions
