Audience Segments let you organize your fans based on their purchases and combine Shopify customer data with streaming activity, messaging engagement, location, and more. Create dynamic audiences that automatically update as fans purchase products or meet your segment's conditions.

Create a Shopify Customer Segment
From the left sidebar, click Audience, then select Segments.
Click Create a Segment in the top-right corner.
Enter a name for your segment in the Title field.
From the conditions dropdown, select Fan who purchased specific products.
Choose one of the following options:
Any Product to include fans who have purchased any product from your Shopify store.
Select a specific product to target customers who purchased that item.
The audience count will automatically update to show how many fans currently match your criteria.
Build More Targeted Audiences
Shopify purchase data can be combined with any of Sonikit's audience conditions to create highly targeted segments.
For example, you could build audiences such as:
Fans who purchased a vinyl record and pre-saved your latest release.
Customers who bought merchandise and live within 50 miles of an upcoming tour date.
Fans who purchased any product but haven't opted into SMS.
Customers who purchased a specific product and follow you on Spotify.
As you add or modify conditions, Sonikit automatically recalculates the matching audience size.
Preview Your Audience
Before saving your segment, click Preview Segment to view the fans who currently match your conditions.
Previewing your audience helps you confirm that your segment includes the fans you expect before using it in a campaign or automation.
Save Your Segment
When you're happy with your audience:
Click Save Segment in the top-right corner.
Your segment will be available anywhere Sonikit supports audience targeting, including messaging campaigns and automations.
Dynamic Audience Updates
Shopify-powered segments update automatically over time. As fans purchase products, pre-save music, subscribe to your messages, or otherwise meet (or no longer meet) your segment conditions, Sonikit automatically adds or removes them from the audience. There's no need to manually rebuild your segments.
