When you delete a jobrun from the schedule, here's what happens:
Visits in the jobrun are not deleted - They just become unscheduled
All visits that were scheduled in that jobrun are kept but moved to the "Unscheduled Visits" column. You can then reschedule these jobs to a different day. Also, any future repeating visits remain unaffected.
Staff assignments are removed
The staff members who were assigned to work that day will be unassigned.
Route information is lost
If you had calculated a route for that day (travel time and distance between jobs), that information will be deleted. You'll need to recalculate the route if you reschedule the jobs.
What this means
Deleting a jobrun from the schedule is a way to remove scheduling information without losing your job data. Think of it as "unscheduling" rather than "deleting" - your jobs are still there, just waiting to be scheduled for a different day.
Deleting a jobrun does not delete the crew itself. It only removes that scheduled run for the selected day. The crew, its employees, and job runs on other days stay in place.
If you are trying to change which crew handles future repeating visits, do not delete the crew. Instead, create or choose the jobrun for the crew you want, move the visits into it, and click Apply to all future visits in this series when prompted. See How to Effectively use Crews in Job Management for more details.
Tip: If you want to move jobs to a different day instead of unscheduling them, use the "Move" feature instead of deleting the day. Please see Rescheduling Visits in SortScape for more information.
