You need to show your original passport or Travel ID when your Tax Free purchase is validated in store.
This is required to verify your identity and confirm that you are eligible for Tax Free shopping based on where you normally live.
In some cases, you may be asked to provide additional proof of residence to confirm that you normally live outside the EU.
After the in-store validation, you’ll continue your Tax Free claim in the Pie VAT app, where you’ll add your details, scan your Travel ID and upload a photo of your receipt.
A photo or photocopy of your passport or Travel ID cannot replace the original document when your identity is verified in store.
