Once the store has created your Tax Free order, you’ll receive a 6-digit claim code. Use this code to access your order in the Pie VAT app.

Enter the 6-digit code you received in store.Add your travel details
Add your travel information and Travel ID.Photograph your receipt
Take a clear photo of the receipt for your order. Remember: one receipt = one Tax Free order.Review and submit
Check that your information is correct and submit your claim.
Once your order has been processed, a barcode will appear in the Pie VAT app. You’ll need this at the airport.
At the airport - before security
Validate your purchase at a DIVA kiosk
If Spain is your final point of departure from the EU, go to a DIVA kiosk before security and scan the barcode shown in your Pie VAT app.Keep your purchased goods with you
Make sure your Tax Free purchases are with you and accessible. Customs may ask to see the goods, along with your passport and receipt, before validating your export.
Once your export has been successfully validated by Customs, your refund can be processed.
⚠️ Submitting your information in the Pie VAT app is not the final step. You must also complete Customs validation when leaving the EU to receive your Tax Free refund.
