Kiosk Printing is a feature within Google Chrome that skips the printer settings dialog and automatically prints your document. This is a good solution if you find it disruptive to press multiple buttons to print the dockets for Queue.

Please note that kiosk printing means that anything you print via Google Chrome will adopt the same default printer settings.

This guide will take you through the steps to set up a Google Chrome shortcut that has kiosk printing enabled.

Step 1: New Google Chrome Shortcut

Windows

  1. Locate the Google Chrome icon on your desktop

  2. Right-click the icon and press Copy Shortcut

  3. Or, press Control + C and Control + V

Step 2: Enable Kiosk Printing

Windows

  1. Right-click the new Google Chrome shortcut

  2. Press Properties

  3. Paste --kiosk-printing into the end of the Target field

  4. Press Okay and Apply to save the changes

  5. You can also navigate to the General tab and change the name of your shortcut

  6. You may need to restart your computer to see the effect of your changes

Whenever you print a document via this Google Chrome shortcut, the printer dialog will now be skipped and will adopt the last printer settings you used in Chrome.
