Impact Aid
If your district is impacted by federal government activity, you may be eligible for Impact Aid. This program reimburses school districts for lost revenue and additional costs associated with the presence of non-taxable federal property. Examples include:
Military installations
Indian Trust, Treaty, and Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) lands
Federal low-rent housing facilities
National parks, Army Corps of Engineers projects, VA hospitals, and other federal properties
Title I, Part A – Raising Achievement Levels
Title I, Part A funds support programs designed to raise achievement levels of students in schools with a high percentage of low-income students. These funds can be used to implement tools that improve student proficiency and engagement.

Title II, Part A – Professional Development
Title II-A provides over $2 billion per year to states and districts for professional learning for educators, including training on effective instructional strategies.

Ongoing support and refresher sessions for educators
Title III – Supporting English Learners
Title III funds are designated for English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement, and Academic Achievement for English learners (ELs).

Develops and improves academic programs for ELs through speaking and writing practice
Provides educational materials, including technology-enabled speaking exercises
Supports English learners in building fluency through immediate feedback
Title IV, Part A – Supporting Well-Rounded Education & Technology
Title IV, Part A includes provisions for “activities to support well-rounded educational opportunities,” including foreign language instruction and effective technology use.
