Free Teacher accounts include a set number of AI credits. These credits refresh monthly, on the date shown in your account.
When you need additional credits to continue assigning activities, you can purchase a one-time credit package directly from Speakable. Purchased credits never expire.
Available Credit Packages
Speakable offers three credit packages:

Savings are based on the cost per credit compared with the 500-credit package.
For many teachers, 5,000 credits is usually enough for one semester of regular Speakable use with students. Actual credit usage may vary depending on the number of students, activities, and assignments.
Credit packages are one-time purchases. Purchasing credits does not change your Free Teacher plan or begin a recurring subscription.
Step 1: Open the Credit Purchase Window
Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of Speakable.
Find the Free plan card in your account menu.
Click Add Credits.
You may also see a message that says You Need More Credits to Assign This Activity when attempting to assign an activity. You can purchase additional credits directly from this window.
Step 2: Select a Credit Package
Under Select Credit Package, click the package you would like to purchase:
500 credits for $10
1,000 credits for $15
5,000 credits for $50
The package you select will be outlined in pink. The purchase button at the bottom of the window will update to show the selected number of credits and the total price.

Step 3: Add a Payment Method
When there is no payment method connected to your account, you will see a No payment methods found message.
To add a payment method:
Click Add New Card.
Enter your card number, expiration date, security code, country, and billing ZIP code.
Keep Save this card for future purchases selected if you would like to use the card again.
Click Add Card.
Depending on your location and device, you may also see additional payment options, such as a bank payment or Google Pay.
Step 4: Complete Your Purchase
After adding your payment method:
Confirm that the correct payment method is selected.
Confirm that your preferred credit package is outlined in pink.
Click the pink Purchase Credits button at the bottom of the window.
The purchase button will show the number of credits you are purchasing and the total price.
Once the purchase is complete, open your account menu to review your updated AI credit balance. You can then return to your activity and continue assigning it.
How Purchased Credits Work
Your account may contain both credits included with your Free Teacher plan and credits you have purchased.
Credits included with the Free Teacher plan refresh on the date shown in your account.
Purchased credits never expire.
Your current credit balance appears in the Free plan card in your account menu.
You can purchase additional packages whenever you need more credits.
Purchasing credits does not upgrade your account or create a recurring subscription.
