Customer Focus adds another dimension how you prioritise Company Signals on Specter. Every single company is now tagged in such a way that you can choose to see companies with an exclusively or mainly business vs consumer focused offering.

Using the Filter

Under the Add Filters tab in Company Signals, you will find the Customer Focus dropdown under Sector, which allows you to choose from four categories:

B2B

B2B

Serves business customers (not consumers).

Example: Storylane is an interactive product demo solution, aimed at sales and marketing teams who produce such materials to showcase their company's product.

B2B (Primary) / B2C (Secondary)

B2B

B2C

Primarily serves business customers, but has a B2C component.

Example: Peerspace offers short-term workspaces that are most used by businesses who need a space for their team to operate, but they also serve individuals who work remotely and need a workspace.

B2C

B2C

Serves consumers (not businesses).

Example: Stardust is an app-based hormone health platform, so is geared directly towards consumers and doesn't directly work with companies as end clients.

B2C (Primary) / B2B (Secondary)

B2C

B2B

Primarily serves consumers, but has a B2B component.

Example: Belo is a crypto wallet solution that has an offering for both consumers who want to use this method of payment in their personal spending, and companies who want to accept this form of payment from their customers.
