Landscapes allow you to map signals in a way that's customised to your preferences. There is no need for manual data input or gathering insights from multiple sources. Automate the entire process using Specter!

Browse Industry Reports

We have a library of Recommended Landscapes, which you can browse for the latest reports produced by a range of investors. Get in touch with any market maps you would like us to add to the platform, and we can put this together for you.

Create your own Landscapes

You can make and access your own personally created market maps under 'My Landscapes'. Click 'New Landscape' to start building your own:

Step 1 - Create the Landscape

Fill in the following details to complete the initial setup:

  • Add a Name and Description.

  • Choose your Layout (the Grid option is best for market mapping, while Kanban is more akin to a pipeline management structure).

  • Choose your Entity Type from the drop down menu.

  • You can keep Access Private, or Share with Team so your colleagues can see it.

  • Customise the Icon to match your Landscape.

Step 2 - Add Columns

Once you have created the Landscape, click back on it and add a 'New Column'. This will then prompt you to name the Column. Add as many columns as necessary for the Landscape. Once you are happy with the Columns you have named & created. you can start inputting the data into them.

Step 3 - Create Lists

In order to input data into your Landscape, you must first create List(s) that will make up the contents of the columns. See the example below, inputting the Sifted 250 filter.

Once you've saved the List, you can access it in My Lists. Click the 3 dots on the right hand side to add the list to your Landscape.

You will be then be able to see the Company List in your Landscape.

Repeat this to fill out all your desired Columns & create a comprehensive market map.

🚨 Important Callouts

  • Each individually created column will display up to a maximum on 50 Signals at a time, so for any criteria that produces a higher number of results, you can click on 'View Companies' to see the full List in question.

  • These Top 50 in each column will automatically be sorted by Specter Rank in descending order.

Browse Company Signals on Landscapes

Ultimately, you can create any kind of Landscape you need, and the datapoints on each Company Signal will be updated whenever we refresh our data on Specter.

This is how you would consult the data on Attentive's profile, for example, which will continue to update with each monthly refresh in our Company data deliveries to the platform. No need to run manual checks on how the market has evolved - you can just consult the Landscape and see how each company's performance has changed.
