Your own storefront, on your profile. Real, physical things you make and post to people. ๐๏ธ
๐ Read this first
Our other help articles describe Spenny Piggy as a content platform, with instant digital delivery and permanent access. That's accurate for the vast majority of what's sold here.
The Shop is the exception, and it works differently in ways that matter:
๐ฆ There's no instant unlock โ there's a parcel
๐ Supporters give you a delivery address
โฉ๏ธ Different cancellation rights apply โ physical goods carry a 14-day right to cancel in most cases
๐ Fulfilment is entirely yours โ you pack it, you post it, you handle returns
So where another article says "delivered instantly" or "digital content is generally non-refundable once accessed" โ that's describing content, not Shop items. This article is the one that governs physical goods. ๐ท
The 30-Second Version โฑ๏ธ
โ
Sell physical items directly from your profile
๐ฆ You pack and post them โ fulfilment is yours
๐ Supporters provide a delivery address at checkout
๐ท You keep 100% of your listed price
โ ๏ธ 14-day cancellation right applies in most cases
๐ Account required for supporters
๐ฆ Paid on the normal weekly cycle
What you can sell ๐ฆ
โ
Merch โ t-shirts, hoodies, hats, tote bags
โ
Prints and posters โ your own photography or artwork
โ
Physical products you make โ candles, jewellery, crafts, zines
โ
Signed items
โ
Collectibles and limited runs
โ
Anything else you've made or had made for you
What you can't ๐ซ
โ Anything you don't have the rights to sell โ no counterfeits, no trademarked designs, no reselling someone else's product as your own
โ Regulated goods โ anything needing a licence: alcohol, tobacco, vapes, weapons, supplements making health claims, medical devices
โ Perishables or food
โ Anything adult, explicit, or otherwise breaching our Content Rules โ the same SFW standards apply to physical items as to everything else
โ Anything you can't actually fulfil. If you can't post it, don't list it.
โ ๏ธ You're the seller. Product safety, labelling and legal compliance for what you ship are your responsibility, not ours.
Listing an item ๐
1. Photograph it properly. Multiple angles, natural light, plain background. Show the actual item, not a mockup โ mockup-only listings cause the most returns.
2. Describe it precisely. Size, colour, material, dimensions, weight, what's included. Every detail you leave out is a return waiting to happen. ๐
3. Set your price. Decide whether shipping is included or added, and say which, clearly. Nothing annoys a buyer more than discovering postage at the last step.
4. Set your dispatch and delivery timeframe. Realistic, then beat it. "Dispatched within 3 working days, UK delivery 2โ5 days" is a proper answer. "Ships soon" isn't.
5. State where you ship to. Countries, and any regions you won't post to.
6. Publish.
Shipping โ the bit people underestimate ๐ฎ
You're posting these yourself. Think it through before you list.
๐ฆ Packaging costs money. Boxes, mailers, tape, labels. Factor it into your price.
โ๏ธ Weight and size drive postage cost, and it escalates fast.
๐ International means customs forms, longer times, and possible duties for the buyer โ say so on the listing.
๐ Get proof of postage. Every time. It's your evidence if a parcel goes missing.
๐ Use tracking on anything valuable. Untracked and lost means you're refunding.
โฑ๏ธ Post promptly. Late dispatch is the biggest single source of physical-goods complaints.
๐ก Start with a small range. Three or four items you can definitely fulfil beats twenty you can't keep up with.
Returns and cancellations โฉ๏ธ
This is where the Shop differs most from everything else you sell here โ and where our other articles don't apply.
Under UK consumer law, buyers ordering physical goods online generally have a right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the item and return it for a refund โ whether or not there's anything wrong with it.
โ ๏ธ Some exceptions apply, including personalised and made-to-order items.
As the seller, that's yours to honour.
Practically:
๐ State your returns process on your listings โ where to send it, who pays return postage, how long a refund takes
๐จ Mark personalised items clearly as made-to-order
๐ฆ Keep proof of postage so you can evidence what you sent and when
๐ฌ Respond to return requests quickly. A buyer who's ignored goes to their bank, and a chargeback costs far more than a return.
โ๏ธ If you're selling physical goods at any scale, get proper advice on your consumer law obligations. They're different from digital, they're not optional, and we can't advise on them.
How payment works ๐ณ
Same as everything else here:
๐ท You receive 100% of your listed price โ supporters cover the fees on top
๐ฆ Paid on the weekly cycle โ Friday to Thursday, out the following Friday, usually landing Monday
๐ 10% reserve for your first 30 days, then nothing
๐ Counts toward your bonuses โ card earnings count toward the Founder Bonus, Fast Start and qualification thresholds
๐ Supporters need an account for Shop purchases โ there's a delivery address to store and an order to track. Guest checkout isn't available for physical items.
๐ The posting rule doesn't apply. The 3-posts-in-28-days requirement governs recurring features. The Shop isn't one.
What you see about the buyer ๐
๐ Their display name and email
๐ Their delivery address โ necessary, since you're posting it
๐ธ The amount paid
Treat that address properly. It's personal data, you have it only to fulfil the order, and it shouldn't be used for anything else. ๐
Disputes on physical items โ ๏ธ
Harder to defend than digital.
With content, the platform records delivery automatically โ what was sent, and the moment it landed. With a parcel, we can't see whether it arrived. So the evidence has to come from you.
What protects you:
๐ Proof of postage on everything
๐ Tracking on anything worth tracking
๐ธ Accurate photos and descriptions โ the listing is the agreed terms
๐ฌ On-platform communication, so the conversation is recorded
โฑ๏ธ Prompt dispatch, and a message when it's sent
Tell people when you've posted it. A buyer who knows their parcel is on the way doesn't open a dispute on day four. ๐ท
For supporters ๐
Buying something physical? A few things worth checking before you do.
๐
The stated dispatch and delivery timeframe
๐ Whether the creator ships to your country
๐ท Whether shipping is included in the price or added
๐ Sizing, colours, materials โ anything that's awkward to return
Ask before you buy if it isn't clear. Message the creator through their profile. ๐ฌ
If it hasn't arrived:
Check the stated timeframe โ it may simply not be due yet
Contact the creator through their profile โ they'll have dispatch and tracking details
Still nothing? Message us with your order reference and we'll step in ๐ฌ
Your cancellation rights: physical items generally carry a 14-day right to cancel from receipt, with exceptions for personalised and made-to-order goods. The creator is the seller, so returns are arranged with them via the contact flow on their profile.
Common questions ๐ค
"Can I use print-on-demand or a fulfilment service?"
Yes โ but you're still the seller. Quality, delivery times and returns remain yours, whoever physically packs the box.
"Do I have to ship internationally?"
No. Set your shipping countries and stick to them.
"Can I charge shipping separately?"
Price it however you like โ just be unambiguous on the listing about what's included.
"What if an item arrives damaged?"
Yours to resolve โ replacement or refund. Package properly in the first place.
"What if it's lost in the post?"
Your proof of postage and tracking decide it. Without either, you'll generally be refunding.
"Can I sell physical and digital together?"
Yes, on separate listings. Don't bundle a download with a posted item in one listing โ the delivery expectations and cancellation rights are different, and it gets messy fast.
"Why can't supporters buy from my Shop as a guest?"
There's an address to store and an order to track. That needs an account.
"Does the Shop appear in my earnings export?"
Yes, alongside everything else. ๐
TL;DR ๐ฏ
You sell it, you ship it, you own the fulfilment ๐ฆ
Describe precisely and photograph the real item โ vague listings cause returns
Realistic dispatch times, then beat them โฑ๏ธ
14-day cancellation rights apply to physical goods in most cases โฉ๏ธ
Proof of postage on everything โ it's your only defence in a dispute ๐
Where other articles describe instant digital delivery, that's content โ not the Shop ๐
Your shop, your products, your responsibility โ and 100% of your listed price. ๐๏ธ๐ท
