How to Unsubscribe from Contest Emails

How to unsubscribe from contest emails on Splash Sports — using account settings or the unsubscribe link, and which emails can't be turned off.

You can manage your email preferences directly from your account settings.

How to Unsubscribe

  1. Click your avatar or display name in the top right corner

  2. Select My Account → open your profile settings

  3. Scroll to Communication Settings

  4. Uncheck Contest Updates (and any other email types you don't want)

Preferences save automatically — no need to click a separate save button.

Using the Unsubscribe Link in an Email

Most Splash emails include an Unsubscribe link at the bottom — click it to opt out of that email type instantly. If a particular email doesn't have an unsubscribe link, use the account settings steps above or contact support@splashsports.com.

Important: Transactional Emails

Some emails cannot be unsubscribed from — these are transactional emails required for account security and financial activity, such as:

  • Withdrawal confirmations

  • Deposit receipts

  • Password reset emails

  • Identity verification requests

  • Tax documents (1099)

These are sent only when triggered by account activity and cannot be turned off.

Getting Emails Without a Splash Account?

If you're receiving Splash emails and never signed up, email support@splashsports.com and we'll remove your address from our system promptly.

Why am I still receiving emails after unsubscribing?

If you have unsubscribed but continue to receive emails, it may be due to a user sending invites to participate in their contest. In such cases, the user will be warned, and you should not receive similar emails in the future.

Handling Emails After Account Deactivation

If you have deactivated your Splash account but continue to receive emails, you can request to be unsubscribed from communications. Once unsubscribed, you should no longer receive any emails from Splash. If the emails are coming from a commissioner hosting through Splash, you may need to provide an example of the emails for further investigation. If your email is not in Splash's system, you can simply delete the email without taking further action.
