Verifying Your Splash Account

Everything you need to know about identity verification on Splash Sports — what's required, how to complete it, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Updated yesterday

Identity verification (KYC) is required before you can deposit, withdraw, or enter real-money contests. It's a legal requirement — not optional. If you only use Splash for entertainment-only (self-managed) contests, verification is not required.

How to Start Verification

You'll be prompted automatically when you try to deposit or enter a real-money contest. You can also start manually at any time:

Or tap the orange verification banner at the top of the screen when you log in.

What You'll Need

  • A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID — driver's license or passport

  • The name and address on your ID must match your Splash account exactly

If your ID address is outdated (e.g. you've recently moved), you'll also need a Proof of Residence (POR) dated within the past 60 days — such as a utility bill, phone bill, rent statement, or bank statement.

How to Complete Verification

  1. Open the verification link on your mobile device — or scan the QR code with your phone

  2. Scan your ID front and back as prompted

  3. Take a selfie if requested — good lighting, no sunglasses or hats

  4. Submit and wait for confirmation (usually a few minutes)

⚠️ The flow uses live camera scanning — static photos or screenshots of your ID won't be accepted. Use your phone's camera directly.

Tips for a Successful Submission

  • Plain, light-colored background — avoid glare or shadows on your ID

  • All four edges of your ID must be visible in the frame

  • Your name, address, and date of birth must match your Splash profile exactly — even small differences (like a middle name or abbreviated street) can cause a rejection

  • Verification links expire after 24 hours — if yours has expired, see Have an Expired Verification Link?

After Verification

You'll receive a confirmation once verified. From that point you're cleared to deposit, withdraw, and enter real-money contests. You won't need to verify again unless we specifically request it.

Verification Rejected?

  • Check that your name and address match your Splash account exactly

  • If your address doesn't match, submit a valid Proof of Residence as outlined above

  • Ensure photos are clear, well-lit, and show your full ID without cropping

  • If you're still stuck, email support@splashsports.com with your account email, the document type you submitted, and any error message you received
