Transitioning from OfficeFootballPool to Splash Sports for the 2026 PGA Season

Updated over a week ago

As we prepare for the upcoming PGA season, we’re finalizing an important transition: OfficeFootballPool (OFP) will be fully retired after the NFL season, and all PGA contests will continue exclusively on Splash Sports. This article explains what’s changing, what’s staying the same, and what options you have as a commissioner moving forward.

Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for you, your players, and your contest.

Why This Change Is Happening

RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool have officially merged into a single home: Splash Sports.
By unifying all contests under one platform, we can:

  • Provide a consistent gameplay experience

  • Offer one login for all contests

  • Maintain systems more efficiently

  • Release new features faster

  • Deliver stronger support for you and your players

  • Offer both real-money and entertainment-only contest options

This transition allows us to carry forward the legacy of OFP, while giving commissioners access to modern tools and upgraded features.

Key Dates for the 2026 PGA Season

  • Contest reset available: December 4

  • First playable tournament: Sony Open — January 15

  • Note: The Sentry is not being played this season.

What’s New on Splash Sports for PGA Commissioners

The Splash PGA experience includes the familiar setup flow you’re used to—now with more flexibility, better customization, and additional commissioner tools.

Upgraded Features Include:

  • Expanded segment configuration

  • More flexible player-use limits

  • Alternate picks to protect against withdrawals

  • Automatic picks (autopicks) for missed entries

  • Customizable tournament multipliers

  • NEW Total Strokes scoring format

  • Withdrawal protection across all contests

  • Improved commissioner workflows and season management

These tools make running your league smoother and more customizable, whether you choose real-money or entertainment-only play.

Real-Money vs Entertainment-Only Contests

Real-Money Contests (Optional) 💰

If your PGA format is eligible, moving to real money unlocks additional upgrades:

  • Splash handles all entry fees and payouts

  • Access to live chat + email support

  • More configuration options and advanced features

  • Automatic compliance and secure payment processing

  • A consistent and enhanced gameplay experience for players

Real-money contests are not required—they are simply an enhanced option available for eligible formats.

Entertainment-Only Contests 🎉

Yes—you can still run contests just for fun.

Entertainment-only contests include:

  • Full control of schedules, picks, segments, and scoring

  • All core features needed to manage your group

  • A one-time service fee

  • Splash support for platform-level issues

Note: Live customer support is not included for entertainment-only contests, but commissioners continue to have the tools needed to run their contests smoothly.

Will All OFP Formats Still Be Available?

Some will continue on Splash Sports, while others will be retired.

Formats Retiring

These OFP formats will no longer be offered as entertainment-only contests:

  • Season-Long Tiers

  • Season-Long Salary Cap

  • Season-Long Survivor

Formats Still Available

  • Major-Only Tiers (entertainment-only)

  • Major-Only Salary Cap (entertainment-only)

  • One & Done (entertainment-only OR real-money)

  • Season-Long Tiers (Paid) real-money format

  • Season-Long One & Done (both types)

This ensures commissioners still have options—whether playing casually or competitively.

Will My Player Roster and History Be Available?

Yes—your data will remain accessible, but where you find it depends on the format.

Automatically Migrated to Splash Sports

These formats will have their rosters + history fully ported and ready to restart:

  • One & Done

  • Majors formats

  • Single-tournament Tiers

  • Single-tournament Salary Cap

Still Viewable on OFP (But Not Restartable)

These formats are being discontinued, but you can still view past seasons temporarily:

  • Golf Survivor

  • Season-long Salary Cap

  • Season-long Tiers

You won’t be able to restart these formats, but your history will remain available for reference.
