PGA Contest Types on Splash Sports

Splash offers multiple PGA contest formats depending on how you want to run your contest — either Splash-Managed (Real-Money) or Entertainment-Only (Self-Managed). Below is a breakdown of what’s available.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

⛳ Splash-Managed PGA Contests (Real-Money)

In Splash-Managed contests:

• Splash collects all entry fees
• Splash distributes payouts automatically
• Commissioners do not handle money
• Full compliance and payment processing handled by Splash

These formats are available as Real-Money Splash-Managed contests:

PGA One & Done (O&D)

  • Dollar Winnings

  • Total Strokes

PGA Majors Tiers

  • Dollar Winnings

PGA Multi-Tourney Tiers

  • Dollar Winnings

  • Total Strokes

PGA Single-Tourney Tiers

  • Dollar Winnings

  • Total Strokes

These formats are ideal for commissioners who want a streamlined experience with automated payouts and reduced manual administration.

⛳ Entertainment-Only (EO) PGA Contests (Self-Managed)

In Entertainment-Only contests:

• Commissioners collect entry fees outside of Splash
• Splash does NOT collect or distribute prize money
• The commissioner pays a platform service fee
• The contest is fully self-managed

The following formats are available to create on EO:

PGA One & Done

(Also known as Golf Pick X on RunYourPool)

  • Dollar Winnings

  • Total Strokes

PGA Majors Tiers / Salary Cap

  • Dollar Winnings

  • Total Strokes

These are available for brand-new contest creation on the EO platform.

🔁 Restart-Only Format (EO Platform)

PGA FedEx Cup Pools

PGA FedEx Cup Pools are currently available for restart only on the EO platform.

This means:

• You can restart an existing FedEx Cup contest from a prior season
• You cannot create a brand-new FedEx Cup Pool at this time
• The contest will run on the Entertainment-Only (self-managed) platform

If you are unsure whether your contest qualifies for restart, please contact Support and we’re happy to review your account.
