How to Invite New and Returning Contest Members on Splash Sports
Need to bring in new participants or re-invite members from a previous year's contest? This guide walks you through the Invite Instructions tool in your Commissioner Console.
Step 1: Navigate to Your Contest
Go to the Commissioner Tab, find your contest, and click "Manage Entries".
Step 2: Click "Commissioner Console"
In the contest navigation bar, click Commissioner Console.
Step 3: Click "Invite Instructions"
From the Commissioner Console, find the Contest Members section and click "Invite Instructions". This is where you can invite new members or re-invite returning members from a previous year.
Step 4: Choose Who You're Inviting
You'll see two options on the Invite Members screen:
Existing members from a prior year — use this to re-invite people who participated in a previous contest
New Members — use this to invite brand new participants
💡 Tip: The contest invite link works for both new and returning members, so when in doubt, sharing the link is the easiest option.
Inviting New Members
Option A: Share the Invite Link
Select New Members
Make sure the Link tab is selected
Click "Copy Link" to copy your contest's unique invite URL
Paste and share the link via email, text, group chat, or social media
⚠️ Important: This link is intended for new members only. Do not send it to existing contest members — use the Email Members tool instead.
Option B: Send Yourself the Invitation Email to Forward
Select New Members
Click the Email tab
Click "Send me the invitation email"
Check your inbox for the invitation email from Splash Sports
Forward that email to your potential members, or copy the invite link from the email and share it directly
Note: Splash Sports does not send invitation emails directly to potential members — you must forward the email yourself. If you don't receive the invitation email, you can manually copy and paste the invite text into your own email client.
Inviting Existing Members From a Prior Year
Select Existing members from a prior year
Follow the prompts to select your previous contest and generate the member list
Send the invitation via link or email as described above
Note: If no prior year members are available, you'll see a message stating this is a new contest with no previous members.
What Members Will See
When a member clicks your invite link, they'll be taken to your contest's join page where they can:
Log in to their existing Splash Sports account, or
Create a new free account and join your contest automatically
