QuickPicks: Why does the same user appear more than once in my groups?

Updated today

You may occasionally notice the same username appearing more than once in your QuickPicks contest, or in more than one of your groups. There are a few common reasons this happens:

  • Matches are created automatically based on number of picks, entry fee level and group availability at the time your entry is placed.

  • High-volume users: Some users submit a large number of QuickPicks entries each day. If a user is very active and meets the same entry criteria as you, it’s possible to be matched with them more than once in very large contests (36+ entries).

  • Timing & availability: Matching is based on who is available at the moment your entry is submitted. If the same user is actively entering contests around the same time, they may be included in multiple matchups.

  • Randomized matching within criteria: While entry fee and pick count must align, the system does not prioritize or avoid specific users once those criteria are met.

This does not affect fairness or payouts. Each QuickPicks contest is scored, finalized, and paid out independently. Seeing the same user in multiple contests does not give any user an advantage, and outcomes are based solely on the picks submitted in each individual entry.
