Overview
If you have a voucher in your Promotion Center but can't seem to use it when entering a contest, one of the reasons below is usually the cause.
The Contest Type Isn't Eligible
Vouchers are only valid for specific contest types — typically real-money Splash-managed contests. They cannot be used for:
Entertainment-only (self-managed) contests
Contests that don't accept promotional entry funds
Free-to-enter contests
Check the voucher details in your Promotion Center to see which contest types it applies to.
The Voucher Has Expired
Vouchers have an expiration date. If the voucher has expired, it will no longer appear as a payment option at entry. Check your Promotion Center for the expiry date on each voucher.
You're Not Entering the Contest Correctly
Vouchers are applied at the point of entry — not before. When you go to join a contest, look for the payment method selector and choose your voucher there. If you navigate to the contest lobby and try to apply a voucher from a separate screen, it may not register.
The Voucher Was Already Used
Vouchers are single-use. If you entered a contest and the pick or entry was later cancelled, the voucher may have already been consumed. Check your Transaction History under My Account to confirm whether the voucher was applied to a previous entry.
You're in a Restricted State
If your location is flagged at the time of entry, the voucher won't process because the entry itself is blocked. Resolve any location or geo issues first, then try applying the voucher again.
