You may occasionally notice the same username appearing more than once in your QuickPicks contest, or in more than one of your groups. There are a few common reasons this happens:
Matches are created automatically based on the number of picks and group availability at the time your entry is placed.
High-volume users: Some users submit a large number of QuickPicks entries each day. If a user is very active and meets the same entry criteria as you, it's possible to be matched with them more than once in very large contests.
Timing & availability: Matching is based on who is available at the moment your entry is submitted. If the same user is actively entering contests around the same time, they may be included in multiple matchups.
Randomized matching within criteria: While pick count must align, the system does not prioritize or avoid specific users once those criteria are met.
Contest Group Sizes
Each contest type holds up to the following number of total entries:
2-pick contests: up to 50 entries
3-pick contests: up to 75 entries
4-pick contests: up to 100 entries
5-pick contests: up to 150 entries
6-pick contests: up to 200 entries
Contests may run with fewer than the maximum number of entries.
Contest Group Entry Limits
The number of entries a single user may have in the same contest depends on the total number of entries in that contest, and may increase as the contest grows:
Contests with 12 or fewer total entries: 1 entry per user
Contests with 13 to 36 total entries: up to 2 entries per user
Contests with 37 to 100 total entries: up to 3 entries per user
Contests with more than 100 total entries: up to 3% of total entries or 150 entries, whichever is smaller
This does not affect fairness or payouts. Each QuickPicks contest is scored, finalized, and paid out independently. Seeing the same user in multiple contests does not give any user an advantage, and outcomes are based solely on the picks submitted in each individual entry.
