A sometimes surprising piece of tech trivia is that Facebook actually owns Instagram, and has done since 2012.

Following the acquisition, Facebook integrated Instagram ads within Facebook campaigns. This means Facebook campaigns will display your Spoke ads in the following locations:

Facebook:

  • Feeds

  • Instant Articles

  • In-stream videos

  • Right column

  • Suggested videos

  • Marketplace

  • Stories

Instagram:

  • Feed

  • Stories

Facebook Messenger App:

  • Inbox

  • Stories

  • Sponsored messages

From a reporting standpoint, the results you see in your Spoke report for Facebook are the combined results across all three of the above platforms that Facebook has sent back to us.
