How to Play: Pick 'Em Royale

Welcome to Pick ’Em Royale, an exclusive new way to compete and win! Available only for our players in California, Pick ’Em Royale puts your entries into a peer-to-peer contest where you can win cash prizes.

How It Works

  1. Automatic Entry: When you make an entry in California, you are automatically placed into a Pick ’Em Royale contest.

  2. Contest Pools: Your entries will be put into a randomly assigned contest "pool" with up to 5,000 other entries. All entry types, including Pick & Spin & Square Ride entries are grouped together. Entries from Boom Fantasy and Sports Predictor can be entered into the same pools. Players can submit multiple entries that may be grouped together in the same pool.

  3. Compete on the Leaderboard: Each entry receives a Royale score and is ranked on a leaderboard within its pool.

  4. Win Additional Prizes: Finish in the top 100 spots to win a cash prize from a $500 pot. These prizes are an extra cash payout on top of your standard entry payouts.

Scoring

Your leaderboard score is calculated using your entry fee and final multiplier:

  • Royale Score = Entry Fee x Final Multiplier

  • Multipliers that were boosted from a token will use their boosted multiplier in this calculation.

  • Final Multiplier is the multiplier received when the entry is closed.

Prize Payouts

The $500 prize pot for each pool is distributed among the top 100 ranked players as follows:

Rank

Prize

1st

$100

2nd

$60

3rd

$50

4th

$25

5th

$10

6th

$10

7th - 10th

$5

11th - 100th

$2.50

  • Ties: If two or more players tie for a rank, the total prize money for all the tied ranks is combined and distributed equally among them. For example, if two players tie for 1st place, the 1st and 2nd place prizes ($100 + $60) are added together and split evenly, with each player receiving $80.

  • Unfilled Pools: A pool does not need to be full to be active. If a pool has fewer than 100 entries, prizes are only awarded for the spots that are filled.

Entry and Payout Timeline

  • Which entries qualify? Only entries that have "closed" (i.e., are fully settled and no longer in progress) are placed into a pool for scoring. Entries are pooled based on when they close, not when they are created. Cancelled entries will not be part of the pool.

  • When are prizes distributed? Winnings from the Pick 'Em Royale contest are calculated and distributed daily by 3 PM ET. This includes all contests that closed between 6 AM ET on the current day and 6 AM ET on the previous day.

What if No One Wins in a Pool?

In the rare event that a pool has no outright winning entries:

  1. The prize money will first be distributed evenly among all players who were one pick away from a win. This includes coverage entries that were one pick away from a .4x or .5x payout.

  2. If no entries fit that description, the entire prize pool is then split evenly among the player(s) who made the highest multiple entries.
