Yes! With Spriggy SPRK friends, family, employers and other third parties are able to pay directly to the Spriggy prepaid VISA card using the associated BSB and Account number.
Teens should only give their BSB and Account number to people or organisations they trust.
To check the BSB and Account number, your Teen can:
Log into Spriggy SPRK.
Their BSB and Account number will be listed under "Get paid" on the Spriggy SPRK home page.
For more information on the BSB and Account number, they can tap the ‘information’ button inside the card balance screen.
The prepaid card has a $999 balance limit. Incoming payments that will cause this limit to be exceeded will be rejected and funds will be returned to the payer. If a teen is close to the balance limit, parents may want to encourage their teen to keep money in their Spriggy Savings, which will have a higher combined family balance limit of $4,999 (across your Parent Wallet, including Savings and Savings Goals).
If a new Spriggy card is ordered, a new account number will be allocated to that card and the account number allocated to the previous card will become invalid. The new account number will apply once the new Spriggy card is activated. Any payer will need the new account number (BSB remains the same) in order to transfer payments to the new card.
The Parent Wallet and Prepaid Card are issued by Indue Ltd, which is an authorised deposit-taking Institution for the purposes of the Banking Act 1959. If the teen’s employer requests the name of the bank institution the bank institution name will be 'Indue'.
Don’t want to share their BSB and Account number?
No problem, parents can request money to the prepaid card via the Spriggy Me feature. A personalised link allows transfers straight to the child’s Spriggy card, without sharing BSB and Account number information.
