SquareOne is all about making money epic, and teaching kids how to manage their money in a cashless world.

NZ is now predominantly cashless and the team at SquareOne don't carry cash, (apart from Jake, who has a crumpled $5 note in his wallet that's been there for 6 months).

SquareOne is all about control, with the ability to see where your child is spending and set controls on how they use their money. If kids could withdraw cash then there are easy ways to get around all of these controls.

It's possible that we will look to turn cash on in the future, and we'd love to hear from you if you find the inability to withdraw cash particularly restrictive.

We accept that there are times when it's not possible to use credit in a store or kids may need cash for other reasons. These instances are becoming rarer and rarer, and we hope that the reasons we don't accept cash far outweigh the few times that your child may need it.
