Billing Sequence

Adding and Removing items from the Billing Sequence can be easy!

The Billing Sequence determines how services are billed to an Individual. If an Individual has active policies it is important to add them to the Billing Sequence (and in the correct order).

This can be done either immediately after adding the policy (Policy Page) or at the Service File level. If you add a policy after enrolling the Individual in a service you must add the policy to the Billing Sequence and adjust the order accordingly. This will help ensure the Individual is billed correctly.

Adding to Billing Sequence – Policy Page

  1. Navigate to the client’s Individual Profile.

  2. Click on the Policy tab.

  3. Click the policy name.

  4. Choose the Service File under Billing Sequence.

  5. You will be taken to the Service File, click Billing Information.

  6. Click Edit Sequence.

  7. In the Unused policies section click the plus (+) icon to activate the required policy/policies. If you need to deactivate a policy click the minus (-) icon.

  8. In the Save Action section check the Recalc. Service Units (if required). This will recalculate any un-invoiced Service Units which have already been added to a Service Event (Cart).

  9. Click Save.

The policy/policies will be added to the Billing Sequence immediately. See the screenshot below.

Adding to Billing Sequence – Service File

  1. Navigate to the Service File you would like to add the policy to.

  2. Click Billing Information.

  3. Click Edit Sequence.

  4. In the Unused policies section click the plus (+) icon to activate the required policy/policies. If you need to deactivate a policy click the minus (-) icon.

  5. In the Save Action section check the Recalc. Service Units (if required). This will recalculate any un-invoiced Service Units which have already been added to a Service Event (Cart).

  6. Click Save.

The policy/policies will be added to the Billing Sequence immediately (see the screenshot below).

Removing from the Billing Sequence

Removing a policy from the billing sequence is a very similar process to adding a policy (see steps above). However instead of clicking the plus (+) icon, you would click the minus (-) icon.

Where can I see inactive/active policies?

The policy/policies will have been added to the Service File’s Billing Sequence and will come into effect immediately. You can see a list of active/inactivate policies under Billing Information.
