A firm's portfolio data is some of the most sensitive data in their business. Protecting and provisioning access to that data to the right people within the firm is a mission critical, compliance-driven need to have for many of our customers.

We've built our permissions to have two settings: Default and Custom. Below is a summary of them both, and how they work!

Default Roles

Default roles are out-of-the-box permissions that an admin can assign to their team members before or after they invite and onboard them. At a high level, the name of each role describes what actions a role enables. More detail below πŸ‘‡.

Custom Roles

Custom roles allow an admin to create roles with different levels of access (No access, View, or Edit) for different companies within the portfolio. The admin can create a role comprised of different access levels on a per company basis, then assign that role on a per user basis. These custom roles are limited to a specific set of pages. This is useful when a team member or team within a firm needs different levels of access on different companies within the portfolio. πŸ‘‡

We're constantly improving our permissions to help you collaborate with the right stakeholders on our platform.
