[Alt Text King] Dashboard Walkthrough – Navigating the Alt Text King Interface

Activate app: Clicking on this button will take you to Master switch button on App settings page. Enable the Master switch to update the alt texts of your product images daily. The step will be checked once you have enabled Master switch button.

Create Alt-text template: Clicking on this button will take you to Alt text template section on App settings page. You need to set an Alt text template which will be applied to the product images.

You can also see Products scanned, Images scanned, and Alt text updated on the Home page

Master switch: In this section, you will see the Master switch toggle button. If enabled, the app will automatically start updating alt text for product images daily.

Schedule updates: You can update the Alt texts manually by Update now button in this section before the daily schedule.

Alt text template: In this section you will have to add the alt-text template based on which the alt text will be updated in the product images. You can use the following tags to create your Alt text template: ,,, and
You can also preview how the alt text is generated for a couple of products.

Manage Alt text exceptions: In this section, you restrict the app from updating alt text for certain images that match the specified pattern in the alt text. You can add the patterns in the text field. The app will not update images that contain these patterns in their alt text. You can update the list or add more patterns. The following patterns are added for exceptions by default: featured,#,youtube,vimeo,youtube and .mp4
